EXPERIENCE

2006-Present LYRASIS
Senior Graphic Designer

I currently work for LYRASIS. LYRASIS is a regional membership organization for libraries and information professionals that serves as a critical collective voice in the national arena. I am responsible for all printed materials concerning the LYRASIS brand and am also involved with the design of marketing materials for our vendor-partners to our member libraries. Aside from design work, tasks from project to project include account management, budgeting and technical training.

2005-Present FREELANCE
Graphic Designer

In addition to working full-time for LYRASIS, I also freelance. This has given me a chance to see the design world from a different perspective and has allowed me to broaden the audience of my work and to be involved in my community. Freelancing enables me to work with and for the customer directly.

2004-2005 BUD K WORLDWIDE
Senior Graphic Designer

Bud K Worldwide is a fantasy collectible manufacturer and distributor. As Senior Designer, I was in charge of outgoing marketing materials including nine, 48-56 page catalogs yearly. I also managed the workflow of the Junior Graphic Designer.

2000-2004 ALTERNATIVE APPAREL*
Creative Director

As Creative Director, I implemented the look and design of the company’s appearance including promotional catalogs. I also managed the work of other senior designers on many of the corporate projects as well as their own projects which included requests from the internal sales and screenprint departments.

2000-2004 GAGWEAR*
Graphic Artist/Brand Manager

As Gagwear’s Graphic Artist, I created t-shirt and apparel designs for local and national companies. The foundation of my career in apparel began here. I learned garment specification and how to separate screens for silkscreen printing. This niche skill has become an asset to many of my current freelance clients.

After serving Gagwear as a Graphic Artist, I was promoted to the postition of Brand Manager, I developed a distinctive look for Gagwear and implemented their new branding. My experience included managing and developing all the collateral for the newly branded company.

*At the time, Gagwear and Alternative Apparel were sister businesses. My position changed as the companies grew.
